Welcome/Call to Order: President Eileen McNally welcomed all and shared her theme for the month...Remembering our blessings in difficult times. Invocation: led by Eileen also. Delicious lunch then served by the church .
Program Introduction: Following lunch, we were pleased to enjoy the John Clem Corale group, under the direction of Russell Nutt, to get us in the Christmas mood!
Business Meeting
Pledge of Allegiance: President Eileen led us in the Pledge.
Welcome Visitors/Guests: A couple of members introduced guests they brought today.
Secretary’s Report: Members were instructed to took over the minutes from our June Meeting, make corrections if necessary. Minutes were accepted.
Treasurer’s Report:Treasurer Debra Shelly reports as of end of June 2015:
Checking: $1,224.57; Savings: $1,644.25, Scholarship: $10,596 (which included the $10 Stauch scholarship money); CD: $4,695.20. At our June meeting we collected $33 for St. Vincent de Paul, and $83 towards scholarship.

Legislative: Karen Butt also reminded everyone that our $30/year dues to ORTA helps to keep our Ohio representatives attending meetings and fighting for the rights of retired teachers in Ohio and keeping us all updated on legislative matters.
Membership: Please share with Eileen and other officers if you have any ideas for increasing membership.
Public Relations:Look for notes from today and our upcoming meeting in the Newark Advocate, and look for our minutes and information updates in emails and on our website.
In-Memorium: Sandy Holcombe has now taken over the duty of conducting our annual In-Memorium presentation each December. We remember the following Licking County Educators who left us this year: Pat Chapman, Mary Ehret, Louise Farmer, Barb Feightner, Edie Kolb, Nadine Meldahl, Robert Rose, and Thelma Shriner.
Courtesy: Reminder to please add names of any members needing get-well card or uplifting in any way. Contact Eileen or Linda Leffel between meeting dates to add anyone to the list.

New Business: Eileen recognized outgoing Vice President Janet Simross for her years of service as VP, where she was responsible for obtaining/organizing many of our programs...thanks Janet! Eileen also introduced all the current officers and committee chairs and thanked them, too, for support of LCRTA. Karen Butt was installed as our new Vice President.
Other Announcements:
*Reminder to pay your dues by the February meeting, and you may win a gift card!
*Bring a new retired teacher to a meeting who joins LCRTA, and may will a $10 gift certificate.
*A big thank you for collecting at today's meeting: $111.50 to Food Pantry, and $92.50 towards Scholarships. Plus Mary Ellinger reports that an addition $140 for Scholarship has been given by members from October to today's current meeting.
*February's donations will be paper products ( toilet paper, tissues, paper towels).
Next Meeting / Donations:
*Reminder that our next meeting, February 8th, will be at Stacy's Buffet, and we plan to always have our Feb. meeting there primarily due to weather concerns.
*Please note that all our other meetings will now be held at Heritage Hall Senior Center on East Main Street. We will be meeting in Banquet Room B. All lunches will be $13 each month.
*Reservations are still experiencing problems. Remember if you HAVE NOT received a response to your email or phone message, then your reservation has not been made.
Closing thoughts: Eileen closed today’s meeting hoping all will have a blessed holiday.
